Rachel Mahon

Canadian organist and conductor Rachel Mahon is Director of Music at Coventry Cathedral (UK) where, along with playing the organ and curating the recital series she trains and conducts the Cathedral Choir. Prior to this, she was Assistant Director of Music and before that she was Assistant Organist at Chester Cathedral where she worked regularly with the Cathedral Choir.


In 2022, Rachel succeeded Paul Leddington Wright as Music Director of the Coventry Cathedral Chorus to lead a sparkling programme of music and concerts with us between 2022 and 2025.

Rachel continues to combine life as a Cathedral musician with a busy international recital schedule and touring as soloist, alongside her growing family. Visit rachelmahon.ca.

 


 



Luke Fitzgerald
Luke was Assistant Conductor of Coventry Cathedral Chorus and Assistant Director of Music at Coventry Cathedral from 2021 until the summer of 2025. He moved here from Cambridge where he had studied for BA and MPhil degrees in music. During his time at Cambridge he held organ posts at Gonville and Caius, Trinity and Jesus colleges.

Alongside Luke's work within the Cathedral, he played organ recitals throughout the country and was active in musical events raising funds for the victims of war. He also became a keen follower of the Sky Blues while he was here.
Luke returned to Cambridge in 2025 to take up post as the Director of Music at Pembroke College.
